Crossing Oceans, Raising Awareness

Veterans Adventure Experiences are taking part in one of the world’s most difficult ocean rowing challenges – The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. In a bid to raise vital funds for Veterans at Ease, and to elevate awareness about mental health, our team will be rowing from the Canary Islands, Spain, to Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua & Barbuda.
The journey will be intense – around 50 days of almost continual rowing. There’s only four of us, and we’ll be manning the boat 2 hours on, then 2 hours off, for the entire duration. We anticipate it will be brutal and exhilarating. It won’t be easy, that’s for sure. But we’re committed – not only to raising money for an amazing cause, but also for highlighting that mental wellbeing is a journey, and sometimes, you have to fight to get to where you want to be.

About Us

Our crew is small, but also mighty. There are only four of us, rowing across the Atlantic. Learn more here.

War and disasters have a large impact on mental health and psychosocial well-being

You Can Help

Supporting Veterans at Ease

War takes more of a toll on serving military personnel than you might realise. The effects of PTSD aren’t often talked about, and veterans frequently suffer in silence. Veterans at Ease supports ex-military personnel and their loved ones, making a huge difference in their lives.

Raising Awareness

No-one should go through depression, anxiety or PTSD alone. It’s time we started talking about it, without embarrassment or shame.

Raising Money

We’ve got a big target. We’re raising £400,000 (£250,000 for Veterans at Ease, the rest for the boat and administrative costs). We need your help.

Helping Veterans

If we’re successful, this challenge can turn people’s lives around. That’s what we want to achieve – and we’re focused on making it happen.
